Ingredients

The cookie mixture

  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ teaspoon corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 ½ cups creamy peanut butter
  • 4 ½ cups quick cooking oats
  • 1/3 cup AMERICAN HERITAGE® Finely Grated Baking Chocolate

The candies

  • 2 cups M&M’S® Brand Milk Chocolate Candies

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla, corn syrup, baking soda, and peanut butter until smooth.
  5. Mix in the oats and ensure they are well combined.
  6. Add the finely grated baking chocolate and mix until evenly distributed.
  7. Gently fold in 1 ¾ cups of the M&M’S®, reserving ¼ cup for later.
  8. Drop the batter onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  9. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  10. Remove from the oven and gently press the reserved M&M’S® on top of the cookies.
  11. Cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring to cooling racks.
