Ingredients

Main Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, diced
  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 5 cups shredded cabbage
  • 3 cups shredded carrots

Sauce Ingredients

  • cup soy sauce
  • ¼ cup rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sriracha

Toppings

  • to taste green onion
  • to taste sesame seeds
  • to taste sriracha
  • to taste crushed cashews

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil.
  2. Add the diced onion and cook for 2-3 minutes until it begins to soften.
  3. Add the ground turkey and cook for 5-6 minutes until mostly cooked, then add the minced garlic.
  4. Stir in the shredded cabbage and carrots, and let cook for a few minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, ginger, honey, and sriracha to make the sauce.
  6. Pour the sauce over the turkey mixture and cook for 7-9 minutes until the cabbage is cooked down and the sauce thickens.
  7. Top with sesame seeds, green onion, and any additional toppings before serving.
