Instructions
- Make the salted honey butter by mixing softened butter, honey, and salt until smooth.
- Preheat the oven to 200°F and prepare a cooling rack on a baking sheet.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- In a separate measuring cup, whisk together the wet ingredients: buttermilk, egg yolks, melted butter, and vanilla.
- Combine the wet and dry mixtures until just combined and set aside.
- Beat the egg whites in another bowl until foamy, then add sugar and beat until glossy peaks form.
- Fold the egg whites into the batter until just combined.
- Cook the batter in a preheated waffle iron according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- Transfer cooked waffles to a plate or keep warm in the oven while making the remaining waffles.
- Serve waffles with honey butter, sliced peaches, and maple syrup.
