The fish

  • 2 fillets sablefish

The marinade

  • ¼ cup gluten free tamari sauce
  • 2–3 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • ¼ teaspoon ground ginger
  • to taste black pepper
  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste neutral oil (e.g., sesame oil)
  • optional pinch of red chili pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Place the sablefish on a foil-lined pan or in an oiled baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the tamari sauce, lime juice, oil, honey, black pepper, sea salt, and ginger.
  4. Brush the marinade over the sablefish fillets and let them marinate for 5 minutes.
  5. Bake the sablefish in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes, depending on the thickness.
  6. Remove from the oven and let the fish rest for 5 minutes before serving.
