Ingredients

The bread

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3 medium bananas, mashed
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoons milk

The topping

  • to taste cinnamon and sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and baking powder.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the sugar and vegetable oil until combined.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  5. Mix in the mashed bananas and vanilla extract.
  6. Gradually add the flour mixture and milk, starting and ending with the flour, mixing until just combined.
  7. Spread the batter into the prepared loaf pan and sprinkle the cinnamon sugar topping over it.
  8. Bake for about 60 minutes, or until a knife inserted in the center comes out almost clean.
  9. Cool the bread in the pan for 10 minutes, then remove from the pan and let cool completely or serve warm.
