Ingredients

The base

  • 1 cup unsalted butter, at room temperature
  • 4-5 large garlic cloves, minced (or 7-8 roast garlic cloves)
  • 3-4 tablespoons chopped parsley or chives
  • ½-1 teaspoon salt

Optional enhancements

  • 3-4 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese
  • ½ teaspoon Creole or Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Combine butter, garlic, parsley, and salt in a mixing bowl.
  2. Mix until fully combined and set aside.
  3. Place the mixture on plastic wrap and roll to form a log.
  4. Pinch and fold the ends of the plastic wrap to seal.
  5. Refrigerate for at least an hour until the butter firms up.
  6. Slice into circles or store until needed.
