Instructions
- Rinse the olives thoroughly in a mesh strainer to remove liquid.
- Combine the olives, mashed garlic, orange zest, lemon juice and zest, fresh thyme, fennel seeds, Aleppo pepper, ground black pepper, and olive oil in a large bowl.
- Toss the ingredients to fully coat the olives.
- Heat a small saucepan over medium-low heat and add the olive mixture.
- Cook until the oil begins to sizzle, about 4-5 minutes, then reduce heat to low and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat, let cool, transfer to a bowl, and serve.
