Ingredients

The broccoli

  • 1 pound broccoli florets

The seasoning

  • to taste sea salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • to taste tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil
  • to taste tablespoon fresh lemon juice

For steaming

  • 1 inch water

Instructions

  1. Prepare the broccoli by trimming the stalk and cutting it into bite-sized florets.
  2. Add the broccoli florets to a steamer basket and place it over a pot with 1 inch of water.
  3. Bring the water to a simmer, cover the pot, and let the broccoli steam for 5 minutes until tender.
  4. Season the steamed broccoli with olive oil, lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.
