Spinach Dip

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • ½ cup onion, small diced
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 6 ounces cream cheese
  • cup sour cream
  • cup mayonnaise
  • 2 10 ounce bags chopped frozen spinach
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, divided
  • ½ cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Creole seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • to taste salt and ground pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Slice the top portion of the bread roll and remove the inside; set aside.
  3. In a saucepan, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until soft, about 2-3 minutes, then set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise until well mixed.
  5. Stir in the thawed spinach and the onion mixture, then add mozzarella and parmesan cheese, mixing thoroughly.
  6. Season with Worcestershire sauce, Creole seasoning, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper, and mix until well combined.
  7. Spoon the spinach dip into the prepared rolls and top with remaining mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake on a tray for 12-15 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the bread is heated through.
