Ultimate BBQ Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

The ribs

  • 3 full racks Pork Loin Ribs (Baby Back)
  • 1 large bottle BBQ sauce

The spice rub

  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground pepper

The aromatics

  • 1 large sweet onion, peeled & cut into wedges
  • 6 cloves garlic, peeled and left whole

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 325ºF.
  2. Remove the membrane from the ribs.
  3. Mix the spice rub ingredients together in a bowl.
  4. Rub the spice blend onto the ribs and place them in baking dishes.
  5. Add onion and garlic around the ribs, then add ½ inch of water to the dishes.
  6. Cover the dishes with aluminum foil and bake for 3 hours.
  7. Remove from the oven and discard the onions and garlic.
  8. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  9. Grill the ribs for 5-7 minutes on each side, slathering with BBQ sauce.
  10. Let the ribs rest for 5-10 minutes before serving.
