Ingredients

The porridge

  • 2 cups raw Buckwheat Groats
  • cups almond milk
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • ¼ cup liquid sweetener
  • 1 pinch kosher salt
  • 1 tsp pure vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Optional toppings

  • to taste chopped fruit or dried fruit
  • to taste chopped nuts and/or seeds
  • to taste nut butter
  • to taste toasted coconut
  • to taste chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Soak the raw buckwheat groats in water for at least 1 hour or overnight, then rinse well.
  2. Blend the soaked buckwheat groats with almond milk, chia seeds, vanilla, sweetener, cinnamon, and salt until smooth.
  3. Stir in a reserved cup of groats for texture.
  4. Add desired toppings and serve immediately cold.
  5. Store leftovers in the fridge for future breakfasts.
