Ingredients

The bread

  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • tsp ground cinnamon
  • ¼ tsp ground nutmeg
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 large egg
  • cup whole milk (3%)
  • cup sour cream
  • cup avocado oil

Cinnamon Cream Cheese Swirl

  • 200 g softened cream cheese
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Topping

  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • ½ tsp cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Line a loaf pan with parchment paper and grease it.
  3. Mix the cinnamon cream cheese swirl ingredients and set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, whisk together the dry ingredients.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the wet ingredients.
  6. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until thick.
  7. Pour half of the batter into the pan and add two-thirds of the cream cheese mixture, swirling it in.
  8. Add the remaining batter and top with the rest of the cream cheese mixture, swirling slightly.
  9. Sprinkle the topping mixture over the loaf.
  10. Bake for 45-55 minutes until a knife comes out mostly clean.
  11. Cool completely on a rack before slicing.
