Ingredients

  • 2 ⅓ cups old fashioned oats

  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 ½ cups milk or buttermilk
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 overripe bananas
  • ¼ cup melted unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the waffle iron to low.
  2. Grind the oats in a blender until finely ground.
  3. Transfer the ground oats to a bowl and mix in flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Blend milk, eggs, bananas, butter, and vanilla in the blender until smooth.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients, stirring until just mixed.
