Ingredients

The marinade

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • a pinch cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon parsley, chopped

The tomatoes

  • 8 oz cherry tomatoes, cut into halves

Instructions

  1. Combine the olive oil, garlic, balsamic vinegar, sugar, salt, cayenne pepper, thyme, and parsley in a bowl and whisk until well mixed.
  2. Toss the tomatoes with the dressing, gently stirring to coat them evenly.
  3. Serve immediately.
