Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 5 units crisp tart apples, peeled and cut into small pieces
  • cup maple sugar
  • 1 Tbsp Bob’s Red Mill gluten free 1-to-1 baking flour
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt
  • 2 Tbsp fresh lemon juice

Oat Crumble Topping

  • 1 cup gluten free rolled oats
  • 1 cup Bob’s Red Mill gluten free 1-to-1 baking flour
  • 1 cup maple sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 1 pinch fine sea salt
  • ½ cup melted grass-fed organic butter or ghee

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350ºF and grease an 11” oval baking dish.
  2. Prepare the apple filling by mixing apple cubes, maple sugar, gluten free flour, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl, then add lemon juice and toss.
  3. Spread the apple mixture evenly in the baking dish.
  4. For the crumble topping, mix rolled oats, gluten free flour, maple sugar, cinnamon, baking powder, and salt in a bowl, then stir in melted butter until crumbly.
  5. Crumble the topping over the apple filling evenly.
  6. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden on top, then let it rest for 10 minutes before serving.
