Instructions
- Cut the cod fillet into 4 pieces and season with salt, pepper, and creole seasoning.
- Crush the Ritz crackers in a zip lock bag and mix with panko breadcrumbs in a bowl.
- Whisk together the egg and heavy whipping cream in a separate bowl.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Coat the fish with the egg mixture and then dredge in the breadcrumb mixture.
- Fry the fish for 3 to 4 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- Allow the fish to cool and serve it on toasted pretzel buns with tartar sauce and optional cheese or pickles.
- For the tartar sauce, mix mayo, dill relish, lemon juice, black pepper, paprika, creole seasoning, and garlic powder in a bowl.
