Easy Kettle Corn

Instructions
- Prepare a large bowl to pour the popped kettle corn into.
- In a large heavy-bottomed pot, add oil and three popcorn kernels. Cover and heat until all three kernels pop.
- Add the remaining popcorn kernels and shake the pot to coat them in oil.
- Sprinkle sugar and salt over the popcorn, cover, and shake for 3 seconds, then rest for 3 seconds. Repeat until popping begins steadily.
- Once popping starts, shake the pot continuously, pausing to listen for breaks in popping. Remove from heat when there are about 2 seconds between pops.
- Immediately transfer the kettle corn to the bowl and allow it to cool for a couple of minutes before eating.
