Ingredients

The bread and mix

  • 9 slices thick slices of your favorite bread
  • 2 cups dairy free milk
  • 2 tablespoons ground flax
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon sea salt

The coating (optional)

  • 1 cup cane sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ cup dairy free butter

Instructions

  1. Whisk the mix ingredients in a shallow bowl until well combined.
  2. If using, mix the coating ingredients in a flat baking dish.
  3. Preheat a pan and reduce heat to medium once hot.
  4. Dip each bread stick into the mix for about 5-10 seconds.
  5. Cook the dipped bread sticks in the pan for 3-4 minutes on each side until browned and crisp.
  6. Set cooked sticks on a plate and brush with dairy-free butter if desired.
  7. Roll the sticks in the cinnamon sugar mixture or sprinkle it on top.
  8. Serve and enjoy!
