Ingredients

The oatmeal

  • ¼ cup steel-cut oats
  • ½ cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
  • 1 tsp ground flaxseed
  • 1 tsp pure maple syrup
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • tsp ground ginger
  • tsp cardamom
  • pinch cloves
  • pinch salt

The fruit

  • 1 small ripe pear, cored and diced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Spray a ramekin or small oven-proof baking dish with cooking spray and place the diced pears in it.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the almond milk, flaxseed, maple syrup, vanilla extract, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and salt until well combined.
  4. Stir in the steel-cut oats into the milk mixture.
  5. Pour the milk-oat mixture over the pears and stir to combine.
  6. Bake for 40-43 minutes.
