Ingredients

  • 4 oz. bacon, chopped
  • 1 lb Brussels sprouts, halved
  • ¾ cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 Tbsp butter
  • to taste salt
  • to taste freshly ground black pepper
  • cup chopped walnuts
  • 1 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Cook bacon in a skillet over medium-high heat until crisp, about 6 to 8 minutes.
  2. Transfer bacon to a plate lined with paper towels, leaving the drippings in the pan.
  3. Melt butter with the bacon drippings, then add Brussels sprouts and onions, sautéing until tender, about 10 minutes.
  4. Add a few tablespoons of water if needed to prevent burning.
  5. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  6. Add walnuts, honey, and Dijon mustard, tossing to coat evenly.
  7. Cook for an additional 30 seconds, then toss in the bacon.
  8. Serve warm.
