Turkey Sausage and Cheddar Omelet

50% reduced fat sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Instructions
- Mix the ground turkey with salt, black pepper, sage, thyme, marjoram, and crushed red pepper until well combined.
- Cook the seasoned turkey in a medium nonstick skillet over medium heat until fully cooked and broken into small pieces, then set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together eggs, egg whites, water, and a bit of salt and pepper.
- For each omelet, heat the skillet over medium-high heat, add the egg mixture, and stir gently to cook evenly.
- Once the edges are set, add an ounce of cheddar and a quarter of the cooked turkey down the center of the omelet.
- Fold one side of the omelet over the filling, then slide it onto a plate and fold the other side over.
- Repeat to make additional omelets or store leftover turkey sausage for future use.
