Slow Cooker Smoky Refried Black Beans

Instructions
- Rinse and sort the beans, then soak them in water overnight.
- Drain and rinse the soaked beans, then return them to the slow cooker.
- Add vegetable broth, olive oil, garlic, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, smoked paprika, and salt to the beans and stir.
- Cook on low for 8-10 hours until beans are tender.
- Allow beans to cool slightly, then check the liquid level before pureeing.
- Puree the beans to your desired consistency using an immersion blender.
- Return the pureed beans to the slow cooker and cook on low for an additional 30 minutes to thicken.
- Adjust the consistency with more broth if too thick, or cook longer if too thin.
- Season with additional salt and lime juice before serving.
