Oven-Baked Baby Back Ribs

Ingredients

The ribs

  • 1 rack baby back ribs

The rub

  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste freshly cracked black pepper
  • to taste smoked paprika or paprika
  • 1 cup brown sugar

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275ºF.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the ribs, then season liberally with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Pack the brown sugar onto the ribs.
  4. Lay out two sheets of aluminum foil, overlapping slightly, and place the ribs on top.
  5. Seal the foil tightly around the ribs, creating three layers of foil if necessary.
  6. Place the wrapped ribs on a sheet tray and bake in the oven for 2½ hours.
  7. After baking, let the ribs sit in the foil for one hour without opening.
  8. When ready to serve, reheat the ribs at 350ºF for about 15 minutes or broil for 5 minutes for a crispier exterior.
