Ingredients

The chicken

  • 1.5 lbs boneless, skinless chicken thighs
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp cooking oil

The sauce

  • ½ cup chicken broth
  • 2 Tbsp stone ground or whole grain mustard
  • 2 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp butter

Instructions

  1. 1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. 2. Combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt in a small dish and sprinkle over both sides of the chicken.
  3. 3. Add cooking oil to the skillet and swirl to coat the surface.
  4. 4. Cook the chicken pieces for about 5 minutes on each side until browned and cooked through.
  5. 5. Transfer the cooked chicken to a clean plate.
  6. 6. Add chicken broth to the skillet and stir to dissolve browned bits, simmering for about 5 minutes until reduced by half.
  7. 7. Stir in mustard, honey, and butter until melted and combined.
  8. 8. Return the chicken to the skillet, spoon sauce over, and let simmer briefly before serving.
