Orange Honey Glazed Salmon

The salmon

Creole Seasoning
to taste
or salt and freshly ground black pepper
Instructions
- Squeeze the juice from the lemon and oranges, then set aside.
- Heat a large cast iron or non-stick pan with olive oil.
- Season both sides of the salmon with Creole seasoning or salt and pepper.
- Add the seasoned salmon to the pan and brown both sides for about 2-3 minutes per side.
- Remove the salmon and transfer it to a plate.
- Add garlic, onions, thyme, paprika, cumin, and cayenne pepper (if using) to the pan and sauté for about a minute.
- Add ¼ cup of broth and simmer for about 2 minutes.
- Pour in the citrus juice and honey.
- Whisk cornstarch with about 1 tablespoon of water or broth, then stir it into the pan and bring to a boil.
- Let it boil for about a minute while stirring frequently, adjusting seasonings to taste.
- Return the salmon to the pan and spoon the sauce over it, cooking for another minute.
- Serve with steamed broccoli and/or couscous.
