Instructions
- 1. Rinse and sort the black beans to remove any stones or debris.
- 2. Add the rinsed beans to the Instant Pot along with water, onion, garlic, salt, chili powder, cumin, oregano, and black pepper.
- 3. Secure the lid and set the Instant Pot to Pressure Cook on High for 25 minutes (or 20 minutes for firmer beans).
- 4. Allow the pressure to release naturally for about 20 to 30 minutes.
- 5. Once the float valve drops, remove the lid and season the beans to taste with salt, pepper, and lime juice if desired.
