Balsamic Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 2 fillets salmon (5 ounces each)

The glaze

  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 3 tablespoons balsamic vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • 2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • to taste chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and non-stick cooking spray.
  2. In a small skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add balsamic vinegar, honey, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the skillet, whisk together, and simmer until thickened.
  4. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the prepared baking sheet and brush generously with the glaze.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes, then baste with the glaze and continue baking for an additional 5 to 10 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
