Instructions
- 1. Sprinkle yeast into warm water with a pinch of sugar and let it foam.
- 2. Combine flour, cornmeal, salt, olive oil, and melted butter in a mixer or food processor.
- 3. Add the yeast mixture and mix until the dough forms a ball.
- 4. Place dough in a greased bowl and let it rise for about an hour.
- 5. Heat olive oil in a skillet and cook onion and bell pepper until softened.
- 6. Add sausage and cook until browned, then stir in mushrooms and set aside.
- 7. Preheat oven to 425°F and grease two 9-inch cake pans.
- 8. Divide dough and stretch each ball to fit the pans, letting them rest for 10-15 minutes.
- 9. Bake crusts for 10 minutes until slightly browned.
- 10. Layer cheese, sausage mixture, and sauce in the crusts, then top with parmesan.
- 11. Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
- 12. Allow to cool slightly before slicing and serving.
