Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Mix all gyro meat ingredients in a stand mixer until smooth and tacky.
- Press the meat mixture into a loaf pan and place it on a baking sheet.
- Bake for 60 minutes until the meat is cooked through and no longer pink.
- Let the meat cool for 15 minutes and then slice thinly.
- If desired, sauté the slices in a hot pan with oil until golden brown.
- Cook the fries according to package directions and season them.
- Assemble the gyros by filling pita pockets with tzatziki, fries, gyro meat, onions, tomatoes, and feta cheese.
