Ingredients

The pasta

  • 8 ounces angel hair pasta
  • to taste none kosher salt

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon chopped garlic
  • ¼ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • ¾ cup white wine
  • juice of one none lemon
  • 1 ½ cups seeded and chopped tomato
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • ½ cup chopped basil
  • to taste none grated parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. 1. Boil a large pot of water and salt it generously.
  2. 2. Cook the angel hair pasta according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and reserve some pasta water.
  3. 3. In a large sauté pan, heat olive oil and sauté garlic and red pepper flakes until fragrant.
  4. 4. Add shrimp, season with salt, and cook until pink throughout.
  5. 5. Stir in white wine, lemon juice, and tomatoes; cook for another two minutes.
  6. 6. Add butter and stir until melted, then mix in the pasta and add reserved pasta water for desired sauciness.
  7. 7. Garnish with basil and parmesan cheese before serving.
