Ingredients

The pasta

  • pound Angel hair pasta

The shrimp

  • 1 pound jumbo shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 teaspoon Creole or Italian Seasoning

The sauce

  • 2-3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • ½ medium onion, diced
  • 1-2 medium tomato, diced
  • 1 tablespoon minced fresh garlic
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 teaspoons Creole Seasoning
  • 1 whole fresh lemon, juiced
  • ¾-1 cup chicken broth
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • optional Parmesan Cheese

Instructions

  1. Boil the angel hair pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season the shrimp with Creole seasoning and sauté for 3-5 minutes, then set aside.
  3. In the same skillet, melt the butter and add the onions, garlic, tomatoes, and red pepper flakes, simmering for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Pour in the chicken stock, parsley, and lemon juice, stirring until combined.
  5. Add the Creole seasoning and salt, then mix in the pasta until it absorbs the sauce.
  6. Return the shrimp to the pan, adjust seasonings if needed, and serve warm with optional Parmesan cheese.
