Ingredients

The dough

  • 1 cup self-rising flour
  • 1 cup cottage cheese

Optional toppings

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine cottage cheese and self-rising flour, mixing well.
  3. Knead the dough by hand until it's manageable; add a little extra flour if too sticky.
  4. Divide the dough into four equal parts and shape each into a bagel.
  5. Press your chosen seasonings into the dough or brush with an egg wash before adding toppings.
  6. Place the bagels on a lined baking sheet.
  7. Bake for about 25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
