Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the whole wheat flour, almond flour, baking powder, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice, cinnamon, and salt.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, maple syrup, and pumpkin puree until well combined.
- Combine the wet ingredients with the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Pour the batter into a prepared 9x9-inch baking dish and bake for 30 to 35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Let the bars cool for 5 minutes, then remove from the pan and cool completely on a wire rack.
- While cooling, prepare the cream cheese frosting by whipping together the cream cheese, maple syrup, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add milk gradually until the desired creaminess is achieved.
- Spread the frosting over the cooled bars, sprinkle with extra pumpkin pie spice, and cut into 16 pieces.
