Ingredients

The crust

The streusel topping

  • 1/4 cup all-purpose Gold Medal flour
  • 1/4 cup light brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 4 tablespoons cold butter
  • 1 egg beaten
  • 2 tablespoons turbinado sugar

Instructions

  1. 1. Combine the flour, sugar, cornmeal, and salt in a food processor and pulse a few times.
  2. 2. Add the butter and pulse until the mixture resembles coarse meal.
  3. 3. Slowly pour in the buttermilk while processing until the dough forms a ball, then refrigerate for at least 45 minutes.
  4. 4. Preheat the oven to 350°F and roll out the dough into a 14-15 inch circle on parchment paper.
