Ingredients

The burger

  • ½ lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • 1 unit Kaiser Roll
  • 1 slice Thick Provolone Cheese

The coating

  • ½ cup Corn Starch
  • ½ cup All Purpose Flour
  • ¾ cup Club Soda
  • ½ tsp. Sea Salt
  • ½ tsp. Black Pepper
  • ½ tsp. Chili Powder
  • ½ tsp. Ground Cumin
  • ½ tsp. Paprika

Instructions

  1. Break down the ground beef and season with salt, pepper, cumin, and chili powder, then form into two patties.
  2. In another bowl, mix corn starch, paprika, flour, and club soda until smooth.
  3. Heat two pans, one for the beef patties and one for the fried cheese, both on medium heat.
  4. Add olive oil to both pans as required.
  5. Coat the provolone cheese lightly with all-purpose flour, then dredge in the corn starch mixture.
  6. Fry the cheese for 3 minutes on each side.
  7. Cook the beef patties for 3 minutes on each side.
  8. Assemble the burger by adding lettuce and tomato to the kaiser roll, then stack the patties and fried cheese.
