Ingredients

The nuts

  • 3 cups mixed nuts (cashews, pecans, almonds, peanuts)

The glaze

  • 1 cup sugar
  • ΒΌ cup water
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Heat a large pot over medium heat and combine sugar, salt, cinnamon, and water until mixed.
  2. Bring the mixture to a simmer, stirring occasionally until the sugar is fully melted.
  3. Add the mixed nuts to the pot and stir until they are fully coated and the sugar begins to crystallize.
  4. Remove from heat and let sit for 1-2 minutes, stirring to break up large clusters.
  5. Transfer the nuts to a plate to cool completely.
