Grilled Paleo Pizza

Ingredients

The crust

  • 1 box Simple Mills Pizza Dough Mix
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp sea salt
  • 1 tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper

The toppings

  • ¼ cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 large heirloom tomato, sliced into rounds
  • 1 14 oz can artichoke hearts, quartered
  • ¼ cup kalamata olives, halved
  • 2 oz prosciutto, pulled into small pieces
  • to taste fresh basil, cut into thin ribbons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium heat or 350°F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Prepare the crust according to the box instructions, adding the seasonings before mixing.
  3. Form the dough into a large round circle, about ¼ inch thick, and transfer to the baking sheet.
  4. Cook the crust on the grill for 15 minutes.
  5. While the crust is cooking, mix olive oil, minced garlic, and nutritional yeast to make the sauce.
  6. After 15 minutes, increase the grill heat to high (400°F) and top the crust with the sauce, tomato, artichoke, olives, and prosciutto.
  7. Return the pizza to the grill and cook for an additional 12-15 minutes until heated through.
  8. Remove from the grill, sprinkle with basil ribbons, slice, and serve.
