toasted sesame seeds

slivered or sliced toasted almonds

cooked shredded or diced chicken (optional)
The dressing

canola oil

tablespoons
cider vinegar

seasoned rice wine vinegar

tablespoons
sugar or equivalent sugar substitute

teaspoon
kosher salt

teaspoons
soy sauce

teaspoon
garlic powder or one small garlic clove, minced

teaspoon
black pepper

teaspoon
sesame oil
Instructions
Prepare the dressing by combining all dressing ingredients in a sealed jar and shaking well. Store in the fridge until ready to use.
In a large bowl, place all salad ingredients together.
Pour the dressing over the salad and toss to coat, letting it sit for about 20 minutes before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Just before serving, mix in the toasted almonds and sesame seeds.
