The fava beans

Instructions
- Toss the fava bean pods with olive oil and salt in a large bowl.
- Arrange the pods in a single layer on a grill over medium-high heat.
- Grill the pods for 4 to 5 minutes until blistered on one side, then flip and grill for a few minutes more.
- Check doneness by tasting a bean from a pod; it should be smooth and creamy.
- Remove from the grill and season with more salt and any optional herbs or lemon zest.
- To eat, tear open the pods and slide the fava beans from their skins.
